Gardening OOTD

Today we’re with Lisa at her watercress patch. Watercress is a species of aquatic flowering plant in the cabbage family that has a lovely peppery flavor. It’s a perennial that grows rapidly every year, and Lisa always looks forward to it for salads and stir fries. She harvests it by snipping it off in bunches with scissors, then takes it home in her basket, and washes it several times to make sure it’s clean of any bugs and dirt.

Lisa started her watercress patch over 10 years ago when she found a patch of it wild. She brought it home and planted it herself, so now she can have it every year when it grows in early spring & early fall.

Get Lisa's Look

Today Lisa visited her watercress path in her after-work outfit, she threw on some Hunter boots to make it a gardening look. She’s wearing a flowy paisley blouse, a lightweight cotton scarf, distressed jeans, and a little bit of sparkle, of course. She paired a hint of Nantucket Blue with her casual navy blue look.
