Jessie Tuno has been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years as well as educating her students in the culinary arts for the last four. She recently opened a coffee shop in the city of Lancaster called Butter and bean. As a female and women of color, Jessie has had a fair share of challenges, including people assuming her male partner is the owner/manager of her establishment. Luckily, her friend Heather has been there to help her push through those challenges and encourage her to keep moving forward for not just herself but for her community as well.
