The Sorrelli Story
Sorrelli is a family-owned jewelry design company founded in 1983 and based in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. Sorrelli jewelry is handcrafted from genuine semi-precious stones and high-quality Austrian crystals.
Sorrelli’s pieces are designed to be heirlooms. By caring for your Sorrelli Jewelry, you can make sure it lasts for generations to come.
Our Jewelry
Sorrelli jewelry is handcrafted so there will be slight variations from piece to piece. These do not reflect product flaws, but instead make each piece unique. Should your jewelry become damaged due to defects in workmanship, the item will be repaired and if needed, replaced. Due to the nature of our products, we may not be able to order certain components or parts needed to repair older items. By treating your Sorrelli with the utmost care, you will be able to enjoy our jewelry for many years to come.
The Finest Ingredients
As a Swarovski® crystallized elements brand partner, Sorrelli uses genuine Swarovski® crystals in the majority of its jewelry. Semi-precious cabochons like desert jasper, reconstructed turquoise, freshwater pearls and tiger’s eye are also used in Sorrelli’s bold, beautiful pieces.
Each collection features a unique mixture of semi-precious and synthetic cabochons and crystals. The base metal of most Sorrelli designs is brass; each piece is plated in an antique gold-tone, antique silver-tone, bright gold-tone, bright silver-tone or gunmetal finish.
Sorrelli is Every Woman
Sorrelli graces the jewelry boxes of celebrities, career women and jewelry lovers of every background. The Sorrelli devotee ranges in age from her teens to her 90s (and certainly beyond). Any woman who loves a generous helping of glamour and glitter in her life is naturally drawn to the beautiful handcrafted pieces in Sorrelli’s many collections.
Sorrelli jewelry has received quite a bit of editorial coverage, both in the traditional press and in the cutting-edge fashion blogosphere. Of course, the appeal of Sorrelli’s glimmering baubles has made the brand a fixture on social networks such as Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter as well!
The Sorrelli brand has grown over the years to include a variety of special collections. The Bridal, Essentials and Seasonal collections were created as extensions of the core Sorrelli line to offer more options to Sorrelli customers.
Our History
Lisa Oswald is the creative force behind the Sorrelli brand. She is the founder, head designer and co-owner of the company.
Back to the Beginning
After graduating from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Lisa moved to New York City and started designing fun costume jewelry that she could wear to friends’ parties in the heart of downtown Manhattan.
Lisa was drawn to jewelry design by the lure of self-adornment. She started creating sparkly little baubles that made her feel beautiful when she wore them, and of course, she was hooked. She began her jewelry enterprise out of her Brooklyn loft, where she made each piece by hand on her kitchen table.
Coming from a strong Italian-American heritage and love for family the name Sorrelli was curated from the Italian word for sisters, sorrelle.
In the late 1980s, Lisa and her husband Kermit moved to Pennsylvania where they converted an 18th century barn into their jewelry design studio and started a family.
Sorrelli Today
Lisa & Kermit still live in Pennsylvania, and continue to produce the signature designs for which Sorrelli has become known and adored around the world.
Sorrelli remains a family business, with the second generation of Oswalds joining the ranks at the company headquarters in Kutztown, PA.
Lisa is continually inspired and wildly fascinated by her love for flora and fauna. She spends her free time in her vegetable and flower gardens, curiously marveling at the colors and textures of the insects and plants that coexist together.
