Hi Sorrelli family,

This week I returned to work after such a life changing experience, becoming a mom. We had our son Julian on January 4, 2022. Suffice it to say his birth was pretty exhausting, and the weeks that followed were full of learnings and figuring out newborn care one day at a time. Julian is now 8 weeks old and I’m so grateful to have spent the last 2 months with him. Not only was I able to take a maternity leave at Sorrelli, but my husband also got a paternity leave, which meant we spent invaluable time together as a family of 4 (if you count our original fur-baby, June, in the headcount!).

I think a lot about the norms here in the USA about parental leave, and doing what I can as a CEO to normalize parental leave not just for moms, but also for dads and adoptive parents. What a complete blessing it was to spend those weeks together, learning and adapting.

     

I am excited to be back at Sorrelli, 2021 was a great year for the brand. We had significant challenges, from the continued COVID-19 pandemic to the Great Resignation (which hit our business, like many others, in late summer/early fall), but our team persevered and I’m ecstatic to share that 2021 was the best year we’ve had since I joined as the CEO in 2019.

 I can’t wait to share more of what’s in store with you all. Thanks for following along on this journey with us. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you. As the 3rd generation of our family is growing up, I’m excited to be carrying on the legacy of the brand my parents started.
