Our Story

Lisa Oswald, the creative force behind the Sorrelli brand, began designing her signature jewelry in New York City after college and made each piece by hand on her kitchen table. Her sisters helped with sales and marketing and, to celebrate their Italian-American heritage, Lisa appropriated the Italian word for sisters, “sorrelle,” for her company’s name.

Lisa married and moved to Pennsylvania, where she and her husband founded the Sorrelli jewelry design studio and started a family. Sorrelli’s unparalleled jewelry designs have become known and admired around the world and, today, another generation of Oswalds has joined the ranks at the company headquarters in Kutztown, PA.

Today, Sorrelli designs begin with Lisa and are transformed into beautiful pieces of contemporary and vintage-inspired jewelry by a skilled team of artisans who handcraft each piece with a unique blend of semi-precious and synthetic cabochons, such as reconstructed turquoise, freshwater pearls, Amazonite, opals and tiger’s eye, and genuine Swarovski® crystals.
